Nigeria: Officials Abusing Displaced Women, Girls

Reporting from the middle of a dire humanitarian situation, Human Rights Watch documents widespread sexual exploitation by government officials and other authorities against women and girls who have been displaced by the conflict with Boko Haram. The women and girls, who are internally displaced persons (IDPs), have reported cases of rape, forced marriage, coerced sex and frequent abandonment upon becoming pregnant by those entrusted to protect them.
