Letter to the Deputy Head of UN Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI)

In continuation of MADRE’s campaign to amend Iraq’s NGO shelter policy, MADRE and their Iraqi partner, the Organization of Women’s Freedom in Iraq (OWFI), sent a letter to Lise Grande, the Deputy Head of the UN Assistance Mission in Iraq (UNAMI) and drew attention to OWFI’s efforts to provide shelter to women and girls fleeing gender-based violence in central and southern Iraq, despite the government’s prohibition of NGO-run shelters.
